Accessibility

We want anyone to be able to design on Unelma. This statement covers unelma.dev and says where it stands against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA, which is the standard the European Accessibility Act points to.

Where it stands

unelma.dev partly meets WCAG 2.1 AA. The public pages, sign-in and sign-up were checked on 19 September 2026 with an automated audit (axe-core) and by keyboard; the contrast problems it found were fixed the same day. Pages have headings and landmarks, forms have labels, focus is visible, animation stops when your system asks for reduced motion, and nothing on the public site depends on colour alone.

What is not accessible yet

• The drawing pad needs a pointer: a mouse, a finger or a pen. Everything it does can also be done by describing the piece in words in the chat, which works with a keyboard and a screen reader.
• The 3D viewer turns a model with a pointer. The same piece is always shown as still pictures as well.
• Pictures of designs are generated, and their text alternative is the design's title, not a full description. The spec sheet describes each piece in words.
• The studio has not yet been tested end to end with a screen reader. That is the next audit.
• A reel of words on one campaign page is decorative and dimmed on purpose; the word in focus meets the contrast requirement.
